Our Story
Rinconcito Chapín Latino opened its doors on Purdy Avenue with one promise: to cook the food we grew up with, exactly the way our mothers and grandmothers taught us. We toast our own spices, wrap tamales by hand, and slow simmer recados the way it's done in the highlands.
Come in for a plate. Leave with a full belly and a new favorite spot.

The Craft
01 · Masa
Nixtamalized corn ground fresh, pressed and griddled to order.
02 · Recados
Whole chiles and seeds toasted, then ground into the deep sauces our cuisine is built on.
03 · Manos
Tamales wrapped, chiles stuffed, plates plated. Every step done by hand.
A Look Inside
Tucked on a quiet stretch of Purdy Ave with woven textiles on the walls and something always on the stove.

Said About Us
"Tastes exactly like my abuela's kitchen in Quetzaltenango. The pepián is the real thing, and the tortillas are made by hand."
